Vision

What does it mean to be a visionary? It’s about impacting culture, it’s about impacting community, inciting dialog. It’s about being able to discern what will be important in the future. What trends and styles will be able to impact peoples lives. When I think of being a visionary in the field that I work in, it comes down to being able to do things, and create things that make people say wow on the inside, and realize things about truth that they didn’t grasp before. I understand that every project that you do will not be able to have this effect, but it’s the goal. The projects that have this ability are the ones that deserve the extra effort, time, and energy.

little relaxing...

Busy week this past week, we had a few projects due for sunday. Taking time this saturday to run some errands, and relax a little. After last weekends road-trip, It’s been a while since I’ve had some free time. A lot going on tomorrow at church, gotta be there at 7:30 to practice, then the usual. Back later for practice at 4:30 we’re recording a live worship album at 6:00 As I look ahead to the next week we starting work on the new sermon series promo video, and I have some housekeeping duties to attend to, like cleaning up my desktop. Wow, I almost can’t see the background. I’ll try and post some pics from the worship deal tomorrow night. Have a wonderful weekend.

weekend...

Well, It’s been a long day, filled with fun, prank phone calls, many gas station stops, fast food, 600 miles, 2 full tanks of gas, Napoleon Dynamite on DVD, Icee’s, and sunflower seeds. We got to meet up with some great people in Garden Valley. A lot of Brian’s good friends, Including an old friend from our Panama trip two years ago. We have a busy day at church tomorrow. Up around 7, back home for a bit, then back to the church around 4. Busy, Busy, Busy. Traveling is fun...although I’d rather be on an airplane instead of in the car. I saw some of the stuff that Teen Mania’s Center for Creative Media is producing, It’s pretty good. Not knowing all of the details I’m not 100% sure what I think about it. They defiantly have some cool toys. I have a bunch of pictures that I’ll post tomorrow.

Green Tea Frappuccino

Man this thing is good, just spending some time to relax before our advance worship planning get-together. Had a great talk with one of my best buds in the whole world today. He's the worship pastor at my church back home in VA. Check them out here They're doing some awesome things there, and are getting ready to explode in numbers. I have a lot of work to do tomorrow, Edit the video announcements, finish up the children's videos for the new worship launch, and think of some ideas for tomorrow nights Worship planning meeting. I'm really looking forward to seeing my buddy Brian this weekend, he'll be in town for a couple of days. We're heading up to Tyler, so that should be fun.

week

As I’m thinking about the upcoming week I’m realizing that I have a lot to get done. I have videos for children’s worship, including song videos, “drama like” videos and a series of intros. I also have the usual video announcements. A bunch of meetings and one of my best friends is coming into town on friday so I will have the day off...if I get everything done. It’s going to be fun this week!

I had a good weekend, on saturday we had a conference all day with Mark Middleburg he was good. I had to run powerpoint and videos for the event. And after using a Mac everyday for the last 4 years, I find it less than fun to use a PC. I can’t see why people think that it is easier? Anyways, I probably shouldn’t get started on that subject.

Worship Night

I had a great time at our Student Ministry's Night of Worship. A ton of kids showed up. The band played for about 2 hours and did very well. Rogers threw it down on the console, as usual. I helped set-up and took some pictures (as usual) Anyways it was cool.
