fame

In college I remember waking up one morning with a revelation of sorts. I wasn’t struggling with a lot of things, I wasn’t working. I was pretty much still living off of my parents. I was living the easy life, besides school. Which because of it’s nature was pretty hard. Anyways, I remember waking up, and looking around in my apartment, and then looking out the window at the beautiful city of Orlando. Then I remember God telling me that he loves me very much, but all this wasn’t for me. He didn’t make any of these things for me. All the good things that I had done, or the stuff I had accumulated wasn’t really mine. It was all His, and for His fame, and His glory. I know that that’s something that you would learn in your first time you went to sunday school. I think a lot of us “know” that fact. But most of us don’t truly live like we believe those words. This hits home with all of the stuff that’s happening in the Gulf Coast. We may never know exactly why God chose this, but you have to remember that out of it God will achieve his purposes. And God’s glory and His renown are #1.
